Background E-book is one of the forms of network publishing that has attracted extensive attention. Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the acceptance of e-books among students of less-privileged areas such as Shahrekord. Methods In this descriptive, analytical study, 371 students of Shahrekord University were selected through simple random sampling. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire consisting of 48 questions that was designed with the help of research literature related to the technology acceptance model and interviews with five educational technology experts. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, Independent t-test, multiple regression and Pearson correlation tests. Results Cultural factors had a significant impact on users’ attitudes and their use of e-books. A significant relationship was observed between the components of usefulness, ease of use, perceived enjoyment, cultural influences and attitude with the acceptance of e-books (P < 0.001). Also, the best predictors of acceptance and use of e-books were the components of perceived enjoyment, barriers, cultural influences, and attitudes. Conclusions The results regarding the identification of the factors affecting the acceptance of e-books can be used in virtual, non-formal and distance learning centers to design primary and supplementary educational resources. Design engineers and e-book providers can also use the findings of the current research to improve and promote electronic products.

Background & Objective: Given the importance of academic achievement in medical students and an effective role of motivational different variables in students academic achievement including worth giving to task and learning strategies this research investigated the association between learning strategies task value and academic achievement of medical students Methods: This was a descriptive study and the sample size included all students in Isfahan University of Medical Sciences The statistical sample ie 251 of whom were selected by proportional sampling Method of data collection was using a standard questionnaire valid and reliable Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics independent sample ttest and regression Results: Deployment replication strategies and mental rehearsal and organizational in students error level of error 005 was less than the average level But the uses of semantic expansion strategy and task value the students were more than the average weighted average (3) respectively On the one hand between the use of replication strategies and mental rehearsal and semantic expansion strategy task value there was a significant association with academic achievement in students Conclusion: Teaching learning strategies preparing brochures and/or even deliver credit courses the use of learning strategies and study can be useful measures of students familiarity with the appropriate learning strategies On the other hand due to the effect levels task value on academic achievement attention should be given to the developing courses interests and educational needs of students to provide more attention

Background & Objective: Learning via mobile as a new stage of electronic learning development has been introduced to provide opportunities for transferring information and improving students learning The present study was carried out to investigate the factors affecting the attitudes of Medical Students toward the acceptance of cellular phone as one of the educational means Methods: In this descriptive correlation research the study population was all the medical students in Isfahan University of Medical Sciences Isfahan Iran Study samples were 214 students selected through clustered random sampling according to the sample size Data collection was performed using a questionnaire designed based on forming constructs and factors of Davis et al (1989) acceptance model The questionnaires validity and reliability were determined through content validity and Cronbachs alpha respectively Results : Variables including the perception of easy usage of elearning the perception of the helpfulness of elearning students attitudes toward elearning and the decision to use it were found to be the factors which positively affect the acceptance and use of this technology among the students at the level of 001 Conclusion: Based on on findings the technology acceptance model of learning via cellular phone was approved in the studied population so that it is applicable to the understudy population
